Too Close for Comfort

The other day I almost lost you.

I thought I was a mature young man.

I now realize I am a naive boy.

I almost threw away my best friend.

I almost threw away a whole year of my life.

I almost ruined our lives.

I will never do that again.

I need my very best friend.

I need my person.

From this I realized something else,

I truly am in love with you.

I had everything to lose.

Now I know that I still have everything.

I love you.
