Too Friendly

You, embarrassed, just pissed off.

A minute of smoke;

The cigarette dancing,

But it’s killing him.

For only a moment, rejoined,

You roared to life.

My hand on top of his;

“Are you scared of us?”

His hand relaxed beneath yours.

You never kiss him,

You know he only held your hand friendly,

As he turned to kiss your cheek;

Too friendly.
