Too Good To Be True

It’s those butterflies…

Those tickling little flutters

When someone tries

Focused on every word you utter

That honeymoon stage

The very first walk in the park date

Moon lite skies and that background scent of sage

You meeting him and him meeting you almost feels like fate

Here comes those butterflies again

Uncontrollably taking over your soul

Is this performance based of legerdemain

Will this damage the heart or make it feel whole

Questions, Questions, Questions

… Love is just filled with questions

All unanswered from a mind so pure

Always an outsiders Suggestions and expressions

Love is one of the most nerve racking feeling to endure

I don’t know what got me though

Maybe it’s because your heart beat is miraculously playing my favorite song

Or that smile that’s lights up my world like you never know

Or them eyes… them eyes made right to every one of my wrongs

When what was new becomes old

And Old feelings become new

Can’t always believe what you’re told

Nothing is ever too good to be true
