Too Late
Her skin smelled like soaked rosemary in morning’s dew;
It was so intoxicating than no one could say adieu.
Her charcoal black curly hair shone silver when the sunlight hit her face,
That it made it difficult for the boys not to embrace.
Her eyes were the same color of the ocean,
It reflected the sky’s same emotion.
Her smile and dimples were deceiving,
Which soon brought upon her family such heavy grieving.
She was seen always being curious and helping others at school,
She was kind, beautiful, and gentle, never was cruel.
He wondered why she did it,
It was hard to admit.
Maybe it was his fault,
When he commited the assault.
At least it wasn’t an assault he thought,
She wanted it as well as she caught,
His eyes and smiled with those lips he once dreamt of kissing.
And because of him, her soul was now missing.
Why?
Everyone is asking themselves that single question.
Why?
Even if we answer it, it was already too late,
She never said
Goodbye.
