Too Many

“Too many” It’s a selfish thought A bias idea Once a world of Motherly care Beings to break down in front of my eyes With so little air With land so filled Food no longer there A heavy drought starving the sky 7 billion particles living day to day All in one; painted the same All in one; painted different “There’s just too many” is often what is heard Ignorance by bliss Greed by materials Controlled by fear Pleasure by desire Playing God I’m desperate for an answer Another Great War? A single soul exchanged? God forbid Where is the map that leads the way out? To be abandoned at birth To be tortured by each other To destroy without reason To breed simply without thought Is it fun to play God? “There’s just too many” is often the excuse Once a world of Motherly care But no more air is there to breath No more land to live on No more food to consume No more water to quench a thirst 7 billion particles living day to day “There’s just too many of us”
