Too Many Memorial Days

Location

Too many memorial days, too little remembering

I forget what my first word was

Even though my mom screamed with excitement

I don't remember when I learned to walk but I know I'm good at it

My first birthday is another thing I  don't recall

Even though I know I had one. There are pictures that say so.

I have all these pictures that tell me what happened before my memory of those were gone.

I find it strange that we can quickly forget the things that was once a big deal.

a trip to Disney Land, a trip to the snow, another birthday

Another thing without a memory

Gone and Forgotten

I can't seem to remember those once important days

I forgot what the first day of school was like all those many years ago.

I'll make new memories I want to remember

Then those too can be lost forever.
