Too Much but Never Enough

(poems go here) Years ago, I remember looking in the mirror. I could smile Make a quirky face Laugh. My clothes fit I was happy Now, I glare at my reflection Blink Try to unsee What down days have done to me Lips flip upside down Every peek at the flat glass I cringe Each glance brings the tears I sit and cry Until everything blurs And it doesn't matter if I'm fat or thin The saline stings I wake up, smaller than the day before I still squeeze into my jeans I still make myself cry
