Too Soon

It shouldn't have happened
It was one time too many.
Like a flash you were gone
Like a flip of a penny.

You suffered, I know
You showed your bravery.
Now there is no more pain
Now there is no slavery.

The one who took you was the devil
The one who wants to destroy it all.
This is the ultimate evil
This makes me hope I am dreaming.

But I know that I cannot keep holding on.
I need to move away from being so blue.
But this doesn't keep me from saying it was too soon
Everyone knows that this is true.
But I will say one final thing about this subject
That is I will always love you.
