Too Soon

Why do the good ones always go too soon?

I wish that we could all go to Heaven and see the ones we've lost,

Because the tears come too fast,

And we know that nothing will ever be the same again.

Now all we have left are the memories of you,

God seemed to take you way too soon.

But you are in a much better place now,

Hopefully we can get through this loss somehow.

All the good ones seem to fade away so fast,

But at least the memories of you can last.

In our hearts we know that this is not the end,

We know that we will see you again.

Why does loss always hit us out of the blue?

I wish that there was a way to heal the places you left behind,

Because we miss you,

But we know that we'll meet you again.
