Too soon

Elijah,

So young and so new

Taken from us all

Way too soon

I thought It'd be forever

But I guess I thought too soon

Our tomorrow was cut short

Forever too soon

I miss you

More and more with each passing day

Always with my memories

But never there with you

My aunt said they should never make coffins that short

But we thought it'd never happen

Especially to you

So young and innocent

Yet you seemed so perfect

You knew of nothing bad

Until you soul heard the news

You had died

Nothing we could do

I never even had a picture with you

I never spent any time

With a soul as precious as yours

I've learned my lesson

Just way too soon

As the months pass by

All memories of you stay

I would say I missed you the most

But I know that isn't true

I'm glad you were with your father

In your final moments of air

He loved you the most

Therefore, got hurt the worst

He cried for days

Even now all alone

When a child dies

It's never good news

We all loved you

But it was time for you to go

People say that we're here until God thinks we're perfect

You must have been

To have been taken that soon

I wish we had more time

But this is the way of life

I love you, Eli

I'll always remember the child

Who was taken way too soon

I love writing about most things. I've used it to help my depression weaken and to get what I feel out in a safe way.
