Too tired to Dream

The scholar and his studies

dozes off to sleep

but not to dream...

for the scholar is weak 

and his mind is weary

all at once he subjugated to overwhelming force

only to sleep 

but not to dream...

his mind ponders the charts, the languages, the numbers, the ethics

yet he never budges to conjugate a thought of his own

for that clouds his mind 

and so he sleeps

But never dreams...
