This Tool

I have these insecurities.

They’re not on the inside

Or maybe they are.

To cover these insecurities

I use a age old tool

Well many tools

These tools require a steady hand

I use these tools to make me beautiful.

To cover up the insecurities that are present.

From MAC, to Stila, to Urban Decay

They hide the decay of my shame.

But these tools give me something

They make me feel amazing.

Strong, empowered, conquering

How can one tool make me feel like this?

Is this insecurity on the inside?

Or am I just hiding behind something.
