Top of the building

Stand at the top. The top of the narrow,

My darling don’t you see I’m off the edge

Slowly free falling as a light sparrow

Grab me softly, from falling off the ledge.

The sidewalks below, and lights they do show

I’m lost in the bellows of wandering,

Traffic lights glow, in the path of the blow

People in corners looking, squandering

I am but lost in the midst of the fog

From morning lit dew and potholes many a few

The city I am, an elaborate cog

One of many similar than new

Lamppost and street sign, silent but divine

The city I am and all the sublime.

I have always loved to write, and poetry is my best and favorite way to write. I also love music and can play many instruments and also sing.
