Torment of the Silent: Depression

A midnight sky,
a broken light,
Why does darkness
seem so bright?
An empty room,
an orchestra crowd,
When did silence
get so loud?
The light, once warm,
now only burns.
The joyful cheers
now make me turn
away from everyone I love.
I convince myself that nothing,
having nothing,
is enough.
