TORN

Tethered by your presence, diminished by your kisses. A summer fling full of bliss, I knew your love was pure; you left your finger prints on my heart. I knew then we were one, never to part. You were a piece of me I never wanted to lose. I cried that night until my eyes turned red, I still smell your scent on my pillows where you once laid your head. My heart never felt so ripped into pieces, I was left picking up the broken glass. What happen to fighting for who you loved, with your lying cheating ass? I sent my prayers above to help me get back to the basics. I hated that I missed your warm touch. I missed the nights we laid in bed and just made love, feeling the waves of compassion and sensation come one after another was an answered prayer of physical release. I see you around with her, smiling and holding hands but I wonder can she do your favorite dance you like to see. I don’t think she can because she’s not me, my skin is smooth as the sand and I use to get wet as the sea when you touched me. I know you miss that about me. I’m just pissed at the way we ended but I still want you for myself. The last page of our chapter is torn and I remain scorned but my heart won’t let me leave for long.
