The Tortoise and the Hare

There once was a tortoise.

There once was a hare.

They decided to have a race, although seemingly unfair.

It was almost impossible for the hare to lose,

even the tortoise was aware.

Yet, he knew he should still try, not give up and sing the blues.

We all know the story, 

Halfway through, the hare took a snooze

Costing him the race along with all its glory.

Well, the truth to it is, the tortoise and hare had agreed,

for 100 bucks,

The hare would let the tortoise take the lead.

Yet the point to this tale-

is not to cheat

but to do anything in order not to fail.
