Touch Starved

trauma sponge for sale!

purple and yellow,

faded

one side scratchy for the tough grease,

the other dry, crumbling

             until you feed me

             kind words, gentle touches

let me dig my toes into the warm sand of

                                      your smile

let me gorge myself on your syrup eyes

                                      your tight hugs

over my cracked skin

overdosing on vitamin supplements

spun around the spoon of your fingertips

forever.

          rotting my chipped teeth

                                                                                until I'm full.
