Touched By an Angel

Touched By an Angel

I, looked for happiness in the wrong places

Walked away from the playful laughter

and hid in a cocoon from myself

until a wise butterfly flew down from a flower

To tell of my wanderlust destiny

This beauty

brought a spell upon me.

My heart ached from the beatings of a lost past

Adrenaline from exuberant joy rushed through me.

Abracadabra, the seal on my lips opened the curtains. The show had begun.

Words graced my ears like the dancer who twirled on stage.

My heart bloomed like lotus from mud

Beneath the cerulean ocean.

Standing under the mango sky

Surrounded by fallen broken shell pieces.

Pretty butterfly, soft yet strong

Its magnificent wings blinded my vision

Landed on my nose and kissed me lightly

Ripped the threads from around my body

revealing my transformation to the world

The butterfly winked and took off

I can not hide.
