Tout n’est pas perdu ( All is not lost)

Tout n’est pas perdu                                                                            All is not lost

( poem written based on my interpretation of the topic "Lost and Found")

Entre les chaussures, vêtements et chaussettes                                  Between the shoes, clothes and socks

Je ne vois pas mes boucles d’oreilles violettes                                      I do not see my purple earrings

Je cherche au milieu des object qui ont des histoires                            I search through a million objects that have stories of their own

Un bracelet dans le tiroir                                                                         A bracelet in the drawer

Quel qu’un le donne à sa meilleure amie                                               Given to someone by their best friend

Peut-être l’amitié est perdue aussi                                                         Maybe their friendship is lost too

Un bidon est oublié sur la table                                                              A water bottle that is forgotten at the table

À gauche je vois un peu de sable                                                          On the left I see some sand

Près des chaussures favorites d’un joueur de foot                                Near a soccer player's shoes

Les objets perdus que l’on ne trouve jamais                                           These lost objects that will never be found

Ils semblent être oubliés                                                                          Seem to be forgotten

Vingts bidons, trois blousons rouges                                                       20 water bottles, 3 red shirts

Mais si on s’arrête et regarde, dans chacun se cache                             But if we stop and look, in each hides

Une histoire. J’ai perdu une chose                                                           A story. I lost one thing

Et trouvé une autre                                                                                   And found another

J’ai appris à connaître les gens comme moi                                             I got to understand people like me

Qui pense que tout est perdu                                                                    Who believe that all is lost
