This Town

For the longest time this town is all i've ever known

I can’t even remember where I lived before this

I've grown up here

But now I want to leave

I want to run far away from this place

And never look back

I want to go somewhere that will accept me

Unlike this town

Everywhere you turn there's a stereotypical mormon asking you about boys

Talking about your future husband

Making you feel unwanted

But is it really their fault

They don’t know

But they cant

If they knew

Everything would be different

Not a good different though

I've seen how they react

It's never good

So It stays a secret

Until I can leave this town
