Toxic Friends (Part One)

Tue, 06/18/2019 - 14:18 -- vann116

You surround yourself with enemies
In hopes they’ll change to friends
They care nothing of your life
But you pray that theirs won’t end.

You spend all your time cleaning up
the mess that they have made
They demand from you a listening ear
But never ask if you’re okay.

You gave them all the love you had
From the ruins of your heart
And you’d still give it all to keep them close
But it’s tearing you apart.
