Toxic Love
You make me feel trapped
Engulfed in a fog that’s too thick to see-- to thick to breathe
I’m exhausted
I’m running out of strength, out of time
I can’t be with you
But
I love you.
You make me crazy
Crazy crazy crazy
When I’m near you I feel like a war torn soldier
But when I’m away from you all I do is long for you
I hate you
But
I love you
You are my everything
My sun
My moon
You feed my flowers and control my tides
I’m in this cage that’s made of your words
Everytime you say I love you it’s another bar
Everytime you say I miss you it’s another chain
God I could never leave you
But what about me?
Do you think of me?
Do I envelope you?
You weaved your way into my life
Into every thought
Every action
But you knew what you were doing
You wanted to have your strings attached
So I let you be the puppet master
To death do us part
