Toxic Relations

He kept her chained for a reason
She was a ghost with the habit of running away
He kept a black mail box for only her eyes to see.
He wrote her a poem everyday
Oh, How the good things out weigh the bad
But she was hungry and she was sad for something she never knew

He kept her warm he kept her safe
He always put her in her place
And when she'd grown too angry to stand
He'd tell her, hey, young little girl, go on and smile you've got the world
They're watching every move that you make.
Oh, How the good things out weigh the bad
But she was hungry and she was sad for something she never knew
