Toxic Relationships

Started out so innocently,

Wanting peace,

Quiet,

Stability.

Grew up around chaos,

Home life see,

Much stress and conufsion,

Unpredictability.

No rules,

No boundaries,

No schooling,

No TLC too.

This made,

An emotional mountain,

Of epic proportions,

In Your spiritual fountain.

Growing up,

Distractive behaviour for you,

Growing up,

Attracted to danger too.

Fighting,

Stamping,

Punching,

Through and through.

Jack the lad around town,

Name getting passed about,

Many people,

Heard about you.

Looks of desire,

From females,

And occasionally,

Gay males too.

Wanting the hot lady over,

Wow she's fit,

Let me get my hands on her,

Look at her tits.

Get to together,

Lustfully,

Stay together,

Dangerously.

Passion with purpose,

Intense love making for two,

Passion all consuming,

No stepping back for both of you.

She's what I wanted,

Througout my life you see,

She's what I wanted,

Feel so complete, happily.

Then the cracks start to appear,

Jealousy,

Insanity,

Lots of tears,

Arguments a many,

Who blames who,

Shouting matches a plenty,

Think I want to leave you.

Stay away for more than a day,

Moth to a light,

Total compulsion,

I can't stay away.

Only thing is real,

Sex between us,

Communication,

I'd say a score of nil.

How can this be,

Feeling so empty,

We are meant to be together,

Why am I so lonely?

Anger and blame,

Say's it all,

Attempt to quell the flame,

Feeling scorned.

Go back to a life of misery,

There are other options,

Go back to singledom,

I was totally happy.

Not sure I can break through thee,

Trying to fix something that was broken,

Impossible task,

Start again.

Nights out with the lads,

All over again,

Look at that bird,

She's defintely a ten.

Eye's catch,

One another see,

Eye's catch,

Lustfully.

Throw my hand in once more,

Throw the dice,

Spin that wheel,

Wheel of my life.

WestLondonMan

Like a lot of us been through shitty parts in my life. In 2018 I was living in London, attending a part time acting school. It was a great time. Also I was presenting at an event, one of the tutors at the acting school took me under his wing and mentored me. Part of that process he taught me how to write poetry, or at least express myself through it. Now, I write a poem every day, I write for a hobby. I've had a varied career, the only thing I can say is writing is the best things I've ever done. I absolutely love it. Have got 14 publications on a short story website and launching my own website in December 2022, http://www.PeterGreenhall.com Feel free to add any comments. I hope you enjoy reading my poems as much as I enjoyed putting them together.
