Toy of Desperation
A worn and weary teddy bear
Saturated with her tears
Blessed with her smiles
Torn in her anger
Christened with her hope
Sits alone on the shelf
With a left ear tattered
And once shiny black eyes, now dull
Waiting for the time to come
To be held once more
As her toy of desperation
