The Tragedy

It’s hard, walk out late in the streets,
get greeted by gun that leave a hallmark,
outside the Wal-Mart, crime scene forensics chalk,
witnesses didn’t see the culprits stalk their next vic on the list,
or hear bullets shot from the clip that made him rollercoaster dip,
the duty was done then they pulled it out of the park,
put it in drive and dash, come by and get the cash,
don’t want to see you again, unless you want to be ash,
One of the dudes  is named Johnny,
just got dumped by his girl Ashley,
she found him cheating in the bed they bought,
got caught then they fought,
the relationship been bordering drought,
so he relieved his thoughts the cheating feelings,
said baby I’m sorry for hurting your love box,
told him pack up his things, get outta here you rat,
out on his own with crap, no place to set it down at,
he met up with this other dude from the block,
no name, he told him, wearing one shoe and sock,
they go to the boss,  guards in front of the doors locked,
let em in, show em around, indulge in the posh,
the man tells them to kill a hero cop,
they reluctant but he gave 100 racks a pop,
put the weapons in the hands of the evil,
sent them to drop someone that means something to people,
he had a family, wife and 3 kids,
their smile made his day worth living,
now that he’s gone from them too soon,
it won’t ever be the same,  game claimed an innocent man.
