THE TRAGEDY OF ALICE

Her hair, blonde and beautiful, flickered

in and out as she flew deeper into the hole.

Plunging, she was, to nothingness.

Her blue dress tattered and torn,

snagged from the thorns and protruding roots.

A wicked laugh echoed around,

a cat, grinning down from the clouds,

a tea party and all of the havoc brought with it.

Wonderland, she would call it,

as she plunged further and further,

her body slowly withering,

her hair drying, her ends shattering,

her mind more colorful, more euphoria.

An evil queen destined to destroy.

As the needle plunged further,

the dope filling her veins.

Amphetamine thoughts decaying reality.

Alice had finally reached Wonderland
