Tragedy to a somebody!

I hit rock bottom and became nothing,

Threatened to take my life, they thought I was bluffing,

I attempted a few times but I was choking,

Deep down I knew I was created for something.

My mama said to me

"You lived through your tragedy

To be a somebody!

Go to school, get a job, stop sitting around moping"

After that day, after our talk, I started thinking...

Who do I want to be?

Next day I picked up the phone randomly,

Called a culinary college, hesitatingly,

Went to view the school and signed up surprisengly

I love my school, and love my peers!

I'm so glad my mama inspired me,

To be who I am and I am thankful for her words daily!

Thanks to her I am finally working to be somebody!
