Oh Trampoline,
those times I spent
laying in the center of it
at my happiest
with a hard back book
on my chest

Never really jumped a lot
relaxed on it and watched it rot
so greatful I had my time with you
that Trampoline I once knew

we were so young
I felt like a winner
too much spare time
but still late for dinner

Saturday mornings sunshines
staring at the shadows it left behind
branches, leaves, on the trees
dance and taunt me
wish I was just like them
always free with no condemn
imaging myself as nothing
then breathing in and holding

we were so young
I felt like a winner
too much spare time
but still late for dinner

you gave the best holds
the best advice and best bolds
always out my old window
that this new home sadly resembles
