Tranquil Beauty

The memory I have of you is like wet crystal in the sunlight;

Your color defined ever so gracefully you shape so is precise

I close my eyes to catch a glimpse of you but sure enough you fade;

Far into the darkened closet that is my mind as I try once more

There you are again standing so vivid so tall with dew upon your limbs;

A strong breeze blowing almost daring to blow away your petals of life

Boldness is everything to you proudly standing above my head;

The time has come for you to fade away from my mind

You are like the dreams of a restless daydreamer;

I bid you farewell for now, my precious sunflower
