Tranquility
It floats in on the breeze,
to try to gain it is to chase the wind.
you cannot work towards peace,
you have to be willing to surrender.
it will land on you, it’s shy feet gracing your temples.
it’s wings spread open to the sun.
don’t hold your breath.
just lay down and breathe.
it thrives in the quiet,
in the solitary,
and in the content.
even then, nothing can last forever.
