Transformation

It controls me It's re-framed my mindset Pulling my happiness away My life My joy Slowly suffocating me The harsh truth of what I am Engulfing my thoughts Constantly on my mind No matter what I do It will always beat me With the agony it brings The misery The pain Constantly reminding me that I'm not good enough But I've wasted too many tears Let too many moments pass I must stand strong Still I struggle with the realization it brings No matter how hard I try The effort I put in Will never satisfy Will never go away Even if I overcome it Still it will torment me A memory etched into my brain I cannot forget I cannot ignore It is me I have become it
