Transformation
I am
filthy,
dirty,
covered in shit
and pee and blood
and my own
putrid sinfulness,
but you reach
your prestige hands down
to me and
pull me into your arms
of refuge.
Yet
you don't become soiled
in my feces,
instead your fresh purity
is infecting me
and the cakes of mud
are falling
as hard as my tears
as your forgiveness
and grace overwhelm me
and the truth of your
love
flooding
my entire being and
flushing out
even the
smallest speck
from my every recess
and
your unending encouragement
that coaxes me
into your world of
forever and ever.
