Transition into College

Soon,

I’ll be away from all of this:

Free from the presence of hurt

Yet miles from the love of my family.

On my own, how will I survive?

Alone in a sea

of unrecognizable faces.

I don’t wish to pass unnoticed;

What will guide me through this

Trek into wilderness?

Will it be the faces of those I miss?

Or a new beginning fueled by passion?
