Transition to a Life of a Teenager

Days of confident smiles even with barely any teeth

Days of continuous TV

Days of no worries

Days of playing outside for hours

Days of confidence to do anything

Days of wearing whatever your mom picked for you

Days of making friendship bracelets

Days of having tea parties with dolls

Days of looking cute without even trying

Days of barely washing your face

Not anymore

Days of fake smiles or placing hands on the mouth when laugh

Days of watching TV with the voice in your brain reminding you of all the homework

Days of constant worry about weight, face, hair, outfits, significant others, college and more

Days of sitting in the room with piles of homework instead of the piles of toys

Days of feeling insecure about every activity

Days of standing in front of the closet for hours deciding what to wear

Days of worrying if your friends are fake and using you

Days of collecting stuffed animals gifts your significant others gave

Days of wearing tons of makeup to cover up the imperfections

Days of applying endless products to prevent acne.
