Transitions of the Heart

Heart of life, heart of love

You let me in, let down your wall,

You are a gift from above

You beat so constant without flaw

Heart of steel, heart of stone,

You opened up, and then you closed,

You left me here all alone,

You used to beat until you froze

Heart of suffer, heart of strife,

You gave up, you let go

You are so void of life,

You beat not fast but slow

Heart of change, never still

Be silent now or death until
