Translucent Life

Pain has an element of blank.

Unable to  recollect

The moment it began ,or

Perceive a hour

When it was not.

It prays for no future,

But itself.

Entangles its coarse threads

through the fascia of your soul.

Whilst seizing any spirit,

it cements its heels

to the core.

Only to become

plastered as,

“Just a phase.”
