Trapped

With broken piece sitting about,

She stares at the life she use to know.

Her heart is broken,

But no power to speak up about what she feels.

She doesn't know what to say,

or where to start.

She's trapped by herself,

Even when everyone said they would help.

The light of day shines through,

But she doesn't feel the warmth the way she did.

She only feels at night,

When the pale moon is in the sky.

She's lost as to who she is

And to whom she once was.

She's not herself,

But no one sees behind the walls.
