Trapped

New

To everyone and everything

Over and over again

No past

No present

No future

Just the empty promise

That yesterday will be forgotten

Today will soon end

And tomorrow will never come

Alone

Like a hawk from above

I watch them file in line

Praying their dreams will come true

All different

Yet exactlythe same

Eyes like fingers accuse me of doing wrong

Whispers leak from lips and travel to others

A deer in the headlights

Trapped

The enemy is closing in on me

Forcing me into a dark corner where i wait for you

But you dont come

So i move on

Drawn to the hope of a new start

Like a moth to the flame

Only to find nothing is what i expect

And i wonder

Will anything ever be...
