Trapped

There once was a girl

Who had long curls

With wings that longed for flight

She lived in a tower

Away from the flowers

Hidden away forever

Her mother advise

To stay inside

Alas the girl decided

She had enough

She’d been fed up

So she spread her wings

Beginning to flee

Once she was out

Away from south

She made an amazing discovery

Her wings would flutter

Like no other

Throughout the night sky

Her mother was right

The world wasn’t right

Yet her mother was wrong

about her not being strong

To fight for what was right
