Trapped

You know what they say

and you’ve heard what they’ve said

Go seize the day

Don’t stay home in bed

But my head is too heavy

And each move is a battle

My bones are not ready

They still jingle and rattle

I’m trapped in this body

Plagued by this pain

If I could just reach somebody

Through the clouds in my brain

I wish I weren’t here

With this story I’m giving,

But if you can hear

I wish I weren’t living
