trapped

trapped

Being in an unpleasant and uncomfortable situation in which you lack the sense of freedom you wish you could escape from. Will there ever be a time where this feeling goes away? This feeling is never-ending, relentless even. You are at the point at which you can say nothing feels right anymore. Some invisible force has this everlasting hold on you and yet you cannot find a way out of its grip. As my life continues, I see less and less of a purpose for myself. I’ve probably just lost all contact with my soul. Loneliness, emptiness, and emotional numbness. I’ve felt it all before. Feeling this way makes you believe you are anything but normal. And you soon begin to ask yourself if life will ever be the way it was before. Before, meaning when you thought you had everything together. When you believed life couldn’t get any better. When you thought change was just something that would pass you by. But now, it’s closing yourself off to people who you don’t want to believe care about you. It’s now about breaking down everyday of every week once you’re completely alone. No one knows about all of this going on behind closed doors though. Is anyone really supposed to? Feeling trapped is addictive. You want to fall back on it when things go wrong in your life, thus throwing self-responsibility out the window.  But something you must soon realize is that the more you conform, the more empty you begin to feel on the inside. Reconnect with yourself and see how much more you have to offer to the world you hide yourself from 24/7.
