Trapped

Unkissed lips

Lie, saying you don’t know

Love and pain.

You smile at them

As your teeth fall out

Little pieces of ivory

Hit and shatter on the ground.

But you know.

You fought the Nazis

With your arms weak as dough,

Opened your mouth to scream

Mouthing cries no one could hear,

You've watched the one you love

Love another, leaving you behind.

They exchanged your eyes for

Marbles and filled them

With the ocean they

they say they'er your tears.

You sit now in the corner

With sea draining down your face

Unkissed lips laughing

Nazis jeering

Your paper skin has torn

Rose buds fall as blood

You’re trapped inside

Another’s world

All humanness is gone.
