Trapped Deer
The simple sayings seem stuck inside
like a bird in a cage
I need a moment to retrieve them
but Time never stops for me.
He keeps running
and I never catch Him.
Please, wait!
You know I am not a cheetah;
I am a deer:
Beautiful, Graceful, Lost.
I see the road beyond the lights
but I cannot get there.
Someone help me, teach me
I am more than my frozen eyes...
