Trapped in Oneself

A fluttery heart

is trapped deep inside,

between cold iron bars

is where it resides.

Free one day

but caught the next,

the incident so fierce

it became perplexed.

The choice was made

without consent,

the merciless pursuer

feeling no repent.

And like silky feathers

it began to fray,

it will never let go

as it traveled away.

Away from the warmth

out of it's safe home,

never before

had it left what it's known.

And now it perches

like a bird thats repressed,

waiting and waiting

till freedoms possessed.
