Trapped in a School of Lies

Location

The high school system

Treats the students like flowers in the spring.

They let us bloom and blossom

And tell us to follow their dreams.

But when it comes down to it

They don’t fall through with it.

The students are prisoners

locked away in a cage.

We have become institutionalized

And have no means of escape.

We can’t do what we want, if it means no school

Because in reality we’re the government’s fools.

Don’t get me wrong

I’m glad that we have it.

But other people want the choice

They don’t want to deal with that shit.

What is so wrong with giving the people a say?

Maybe they’ll make their own decisions again some day.
