Trasparent

An I love you simply slips from my lips,

as my body cringes at the cliche,

my heart feels an electric shock wave.

I want this closeness but my trembling hands say otherwise.

I let my anxiety turn into excitement.

That was the best decisions I have ever made,

you finally get to listen to the feeling trapped

in a cage I call my brain.
