Trauma

There's a bullet in my heart,
I am bleeding,
Swiftly buckshot from miles beyond my mind,
You were deceiving,
A blooming flower, a crisp apple strung upon a tree,
You startle me with your stark eloquence,
And I am drawn by your cosmic understanding,
Or rather theory of life and love intertwined,
Life was an expanding yet finite cavern,
So caliginous and continuous,
Love was simply a dampened matchbox,
Only dreaming of setting fire,
Yet my soul held a blaze,
That could reduce cities to ashes,
And all I wanted,
Was to set your lurid world lucid.
