Trauma

There's a scream inside me,

It moves around my mind,

It has hold of memories,

that I don't want to find.

Sometimes it gets behind my eyes,

with images clear and bright,

But I don't want to look at them,

And push them out of sight.

And I least expect it,

Into my ears it sneaks,

And says forbidden things,

My voice could never speak.

Theres a scream inside me,

Its trying to get out,

Its trying to get free,

It wants to take my sanity.
