The Traveler
Every step I take on the path that lies before me
Is a step that I can never take back
And though I cannot stop myself from moving
I can never step off the beaten track
The only footprints on this lonely path
Are the ones that I have yet to make
I’m drawn to the end of my desolate road
Past crossroads that I know are fake
Nothing but a puppet pulled by invisible strings
I’m forced to love the road I hate
So I’ll just keep walking until I can’t go on
For I know I can’t escape my fate
